Copper Jal Neti Lota is a traditional Indian nasal cleansing tool that has been used for centuries as a part of the ancient practice of Ayurveda. "Jal Neti" translates to "water cleansing" in Sanskrit, and it involves the irrigation of the nasal passages using a specially designed vessel, known as a "lota," made of copper.

The lota is typically shaped like a small teapot with a long spout and a handle. It is crafted from copper, a metal revered in Ayurveda for its antimicrobial properties and its ability to balance the body's energy. Copper is also believed to have a positive effect on the respiratory system and can help alleviate nasal congestion, sinusitis, allergies, and other related issues.

To perform Jal Neti using a Copper Lota, warm saline water is prepared by dissolving non-iodized salt in lukewarm water. The practitioner then tilts their head to the side, inserts the spout of the lota into one nostril, and allows the water to flow through the nasal passages and out of the other nostril. This process helps to clear the nasal passages, remove excess mucus, dust, pollen, and other impurities, and maintain nasal hygiene.

Copper Jal Neti Lota is considered superior to other materials like plastic or ceramic due to the unique properties of copper. Copper has natural self-sterilizing properties, and it is believed that the water stored in a copper lota gains these antimicrobial benefits, making the practice more effective and hygienic.

In addition to its cleansing benefits, Copper Jal Neti Lota is also believed to have a subtle energetic impact on the body. According to Ayurveda, copper is associated with the energetic element of the planet Venus, and it is believed to balance the body's energy centers, known as chakras.

It's important to note that while Jal Neti can provide relief and improve nasal health for many individuals, it is always advisable to consult a healthcare professional or an experienced practitioner before incorporating it into your routine. Proper technique, hygiene, and using the right water temperature and saline solution are essential for a safe and effective practice.
