Pooja Abeer or White Gulal is a sacred substance widely used in Hindu religious ceremonies and rituals. It holds significant cultural and spiritual importance, especially in India, where rituals and pujas are an integral part of daily life for many. Pooja Abeer is typically a fine white powder, often made from natural ingredients like rice flour, sandalwood powder, or chalk.

In Hinduism, white is considered a symbol of purity, peace, and divine energy. As a result, White Gulal is often used during religious occasions and pujas to represent these qualities. It is used in various ways during worship. One common practice is to apply a small amount of Abeer or White Gulal on the forehead or as a tilak mark, which signifies blessings and devotion. It is also sometimes sprinkled over religious idols, altars, and offerings as a gesture of reverence and sanctification.

This Pooja Abeer adds a visual and sensory element to religious ceremonies, enhancing the overall spiritual experience. Its subtle fragrance, if scented with natural ingredients like sandalwood, can contribute to a serene ambiance during worship. Additionally, the act of applying or sprinkling the white powder can serve as a form of meditation and a way to focus the mind on the divine.
